Larry Bunch of Saratoga died on Saturday, January 20, 2018, at Christus Southeast Texas Health System in Beaumont surrounded by his loving family. He was 76.
A service of remembrance will be held on Thursday, January 25, 2018, at 2:00 P.M. at First Baptist Church of Saratoga, with Reverend Frank Aragon and Reverend Don Hinklin, officiating. A gathering of Mr. Bunch's family and friends will be Wednesday January 24, 2017 also at First Baptist Church of Saratoga with interment to follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
Serving as pallbearers are Cayson Stanley, Jake Yancey, Warner Tripplet, James Alan Taylor, Harry Brown and Caleb Brown. Honorary pallbearer is Billy Martin.
A native of Houston, he had lived most of his life in Pasadena, before moving to Saratoga where he had lived for 37 years. Larry loved to play baseball as a young man. He had worked as an Iron Worker for many years. He had worked for Pasadena Bowling Alley setting up bowling pins. He had also worked for Nelson's pharmacy in Pasadena where he delivered prescriptions to his customers. He was a member of First Baptist Church of Saratoga, and faithfully served his country in the U.S. Army.
He was preceded in death by his parents Leslie Oran and Mary Black Bunch. Brothers Delbert Bunch, Leslie Oran Jr. and Duwayne Richard Bunch, and infant daughter Mary Rhea.
Survivors are his wife, Betty Bunch of Saratoga, son, Cayson Stanley of Saratoga, and granddaughter Tracie Stanley of Beaumont. Daughters, Pamela Yancey and Shelley Bunch and husband Gary Langley. Sister, Wanda Hayes and husband Randy of Pasadena, and many nieces, nephews, and cousins.
Grandchildren are Chelsea Seevers and husband Curtis, Jake Yancey and fiance' Hannah Lowe. Great-grandchildren, Jaxson Seevers and Kensley Stanley.
