Ernest Franklin “Frank” Sanders, Jr 67, of Beaumont passed from this life on Thursday October 6, 2016 at Baptist Hospital Beaumont following a lengthy illness.
Frank was born March 3, 1949 in Liberty Texas.
He was preceded in death by his parents Ernest Franklin Sanders, Sr. and Lila Mae West Sanders and his wife Judy Ann Herrin Sanders as well as the mother of his children Elizabeth Jeannine Sanders.
He is survived by a son James Sanders of Beaumont and grandchildren Jaymie Michelle, James William, Jr and Victoria, a daughter Dana Michelle Sanders of Nederland and grandchildren Connor and Allie, a son Chad and a daughter Rebecca also of Nederland. A brother James R. Hudnall, Sr. and wife Nancy of Trinity, Texas and a brother, Ronald F. Sanders, Sr. and wife Marty of Nederland, Texas. He is also survived by a long and cherished childhood friend that lasted all these many years and only the good Lord know how he did, Mr. Daryl Dees and wife Abbey of San Antonio, Texas.
Frank lived in Batson most of his life and prided himself with being simply just a ole’ country boy from a lil ole country town in Hardin County. He served his nation in The US Army during the Viet Nam War. He enjoyed hunting and fishing including the tall tales that would follow each. Truly and thankfully there was only one Frank Sanders and he will not soon be forgotten.
A service of remembrance will be Saturday November 5 at 1 pm at the Assembly of God Church in Saratoga, Texas with a time of food and fellowship immediately following at the church also.

James and Dana would like to recognize his hospice case managers who cared for him over the last six months. Their care went above and beyond and will not soon be forgotten. Billy Papania, RN, Raul Gonzales, RN and Sonya Manibo, RN. They would also like to express their sincere appreciation to Mrs. Vertil and the staff of Serenity House Assisted Living in Beaumont. And finally but certainly not least Rev. Jerrol Wallace and wife Glenda of Moss Hill who served faithfully and tirelessly as his pastor and pastor’s wife over the years which included many hard and challenging times. Faithful servants indeed. How we miss our church.
