Elva ' Bobbie' Taylor of Sour Lake, died on Wednesday, May 9, 2018, at Beaumont Health Care Center. She was 90.
There will be a gathering of family and friends on Friday, May 11, 2018, from 6:00 P.M. until 8:00 P.M. at Praise Chapel in Sour Lake.
A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday, May 12, 2018, at 11:00 A.M. at Praise Chapel with Reverend Leo Martinez and Reverend Cody Morgan officiating. Interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery in Batson.
Serving as pallbearers are Jason Thibodeaux, Aden Ayres, Phill Thibodeaux, Justin O'Neal, Andrew Holliday, Rudy Villanueva. Honorary pallbearers are Ty Pearce, Carter Thibodeaux, Leo Martinez Jr. J.T. Martinez.
A native of Jacksonville, TX she had lived in Sour Lake and had worked as a secretary. She was also a faithful member of Praise Chapel.
She was preceded in death by her husband James Hollie Taylor Sr. and parents Grady Odom and Edna Smith. Survivors are her son, James Hollie Taylor Jr. and wife Brenda of Houston; daughter Pat Thibodeaux and husband Phill of Sour Lake.
Grandchildren, DeRenda Villanueva and husband Rudy, Jason Thibodeaux, Aimee O'Neal and husband Justin, Kristie Martinez and husband Leo. Great grandchildren, Andrew Holliday, Aden Ayres, Kaylee Martinez, Leandro Martinez Jr. Ty Pearce, Carter Thibodeaux, Rebecca Villanueva, J.T. Martinez, Rudy Villanueva Jr.
