Earnest Dale Melton, 60, of Crosby, Texas, died Monday March 16, 2015 at Hermann Memorial North East Hospital in Humble, Texas A. service of remembrance will be held on Saturday March, 21, 2015 at 2:00P.M. at Open House Ministries 3605 North Main Street, Liberty, Texas, 77657. Reverend Donald Scott will be officiating. There will be a gathering of family and friends also on Saturday March 21, 2015, from 11:00A.M. until time of service at the church. Cremation is to follow service. A native of Memphis, Texas, he had lived in Crosby, Texas, and was a self employed carpenter. Larry was preceded in death by his parents, Noah Tinner Melton and Ravy Marie Helms, and one brother, Noah ' Sonny' Melton. He is survived by his wife, Sandra Melton of Crosby, Texas, sons, Joshua Dean Melton Sr. of Trinity, Texas, Joshua Dean Melton Jr. of Crosby, Texas, and Earnest Dale ' Bubba' Melton of Humble, Texas. Daughters, Vivian ' Angel' Simpson of Humble, Texas, and Janie Marie Bryan of Trinity, Texas. Brothers, Alf Ray Melton of Huffman, Texas, and Russell Clyde Melton of Houston, Texas. Sisters, Karolyn Harrison of Shepherd, Texas, Nancy Louise Cole of Hardin, Texas, Linda Darnell Henderson of Perryville, Arkansas, Phyllis Darlene Jordan of Hull, Texas, and Rebecca Ilene Meadors of Cleveland, Texas.
Also survived by twenty-six grandchildren, and seven great grandchildren, and numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving friends. Serving as pallbearers are Justin Bushman, Earnest Melton Jr, Joshua Melton Jr, Blayke Simpson, Kyle Simpson, Ray Ruyz, and Joey Roulston.
