Douglas Glen Lowrie

Douglas Glen Lowrie, 25, of Sour Lake, went to be with the Lord on Sunday October 13, 2013. He attended Hardin Jefferson High School. He was a student at Lamar University studying in the medical field. He loved to hunt and fish. He enjoyed reading and studying history. He was a member of Grayburg Baptist Church. He never met a stranger. He loved to joke and pull pranks. He cherished his time spent with his family and friends.
He is preceded in death by his grandparents; Grover H. and Eva Lowrie, E G and Elnora Gaskey.
He is survived by his parents, Odell and Dorothy Lowrie of Sour Lake; siblings, Dwayne Lowrie of China, TX, Renee' Prasnicki of Port Neches, Robert Lowrie and wife Julie of Hardin and Michelle Jou and husband Yadi of Houston; nieces and nephews, Clinton Prasnicki , Kayla Prasnicki, Michael Nugent and wife Stephanie, Craig Cantrell, Neil Jou and Andy Jou and wife Vy; great-nieces and great-nephews, Britanie Nugent, Chris Nugent, Princeton Jou and Kelbi LaBlanc; numerous aunts, uncles, cousins and friends.
His family will receive friends at Faith and Family Funeral Services Chapel Thursday October 17, 2013 from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. A service of remembrance will be held 11:00 a.m. Friday October 18, 2013 at Faith and Family Funeral Services Chapel, officiated by Reverend Byron Sanford and Reverend Jay Thomas. Internment will follow at Rosedale Cemetery in Sour Lake.
Serving as pallbearers will be Alex Stelly, Clinton Hill, Clinton Prasnicki, Eugene Griffin, Harold Biano, Jr., Jimmy Engleman and James Kinter.
