Doug Earl Ellis
of Port Arthur, died on Saturday May 21, 2016 at his residence surrounded by his loving family. He was 60.
Doug was born March 9, 1956 in Port Arthur, to Albert Ellis and Marjorie Rushing Eliis. A life long resident of Port Arthur, he was a carpenter with Pepper-Lawson Industries of Houston, and was Lutheran by faith.
He was preceded in death by daughter, Elva Renee Ellis and his parents, Albert and Marjorie Ellis.
Survivors are his wife, Vanessa Ellis of Beaumont; mother in law, Elva Burlin of Beaumont. Brother, Gary Zelsdorff and wife Lynn of Mont. Belvieu, and sister, Linda Sue Zelsdorff of Port Arthur.
Nephews are Steven Zelsdorff and wife Ashlee of Baytown, Jody Burlin of Mauriceville, Gary Zelsdorff and wife Lynn of Mont. Belvieu, Lowell Burgtort and wife Joanna of Shattuck, OK, Chet Burgtort of Springfield, MO, and Marshall Burgtort and wife Tabitha of Lafayette, CO.
Nieces are Tiffany Marshall and husband Jonathan of Beaumont, Norma Zelsdorff Becerra and husband Jose of Port Arthur, Elissa Lofgren and husband Chad of Mount Belvieu and Kaely Zelsdorff of Mount Belvieu and other numerous great nephews and great nieces.
Serving as pallbearers are Jose Becerra, Steven Zelsdorff, Jody Burlin, Elmer Ashcraft and Jim Catnach.
Service of remembrance was held on Tuesday May 24, 2016 at 11:00A.M. at Guedry cemetery of Batson.
