Dorothy "Peanut" Ener, 57, of Daisetta, passed away Thursday, December 12, 2019, with her loving mother, Dorothy Mae Nugent, at their residence. Peanut was born November 28, 1962, in Liberty to the late Freddie James Nugent and Dorothy Mae Bracewell. Peanut loved her family and spending time with them, she always helped out in any way she could, not only family, but the many friends she had that needed help.
She is preceded in death by her parents, Freddie James and Dorothy Mae Nugent; son, Vernon Rodgers; and brother, Freddie "Poncho" Nugent.
Those left to cherish her memory is her loving husband, Wendel Ener of Daisetta; son, Russell Rodgers and wife Carla of Daisetta; daughters, Kimberly Rodgers of Daisetta, Christina Ener of Tarkington, Naomi Ener of Iowa, and Vanessa Clark of Daisetta; brothers, James Franklin Nugent and wife Barbara of Dayton, and David Wesley Nugent of Dayton; sister, Patricia "Sissy" Simmons and husband Jim of Hardin; grandchildren, Zane Robinson, Mattie Robinson, Tesa Fredricks, Mackenzie Regudon, Logan Rodgers, Issac Rodgers, Mary Rose McCreight, Nicholas McCreight, Aaron Rodgers, James Keith Clark, and Ashlynn Nicole Rhoden; numerous nieces, nephews, and a host of loving family and friends.
A service of remembrance will be held Saturday, December 28, 2019, at 11:00 a.m. at Pentecostal Tabernacle Church in Liberty, TX with Reverend James Simmons and Reverend Larry Langston officiating, interment will follow at Freddie James Nugent Memorial Cemetery in Hardin. A gathering of Peanut's family and friends will be Friday, December 27, 2019, at 4:00 p.m. also at Pentecostal Tabernacle Church.
Honoring Peanut as pallbearers are Franklin Nugent, Jim Simmons, Wendel Ener, Wesley Nugent, Russell Rodgers, Jimmy Simmons, Chris Simmons, Mark Simmons, J.D. Nugent, Bradley Nugent, Zane Robinson, And John Moomey. Honorary pallbearers are going to be several of her grandchildren.
