Doris Elizabeth Crow, 95, of Batson, passed away on Wednesday, December 26, 2018, at Calder Woods in Beaumont.
Mrs. Crow was born September 23, 1923, to the late Wilbur Fredrick and Mary Luney Vanderwall in West Concord, MN. On October 12, 1966, she married the love of her life, her late husband, Marion Middleton Crow and lived in Corpus Christi, TX where she worked as a Registered Nurse at Spohn Hospital until 1972 when they moved to the Batson community. Mrs. Crow's passion for taking care of people continued and she began working for Kountze Nursing Center until her retirement.
She is preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Marion Middleton Crow; son, Gary Crow; brothers, Thomas, and Robert Vanderwall; sisters, Mary Nelson and Margie LaRocca; grandchild, Ethan; and great-grandchild, Gracie.
Those left to cherish her memory are; son, Zack Crow and wife Linda of Normangee, TX; daughters, Josey Sellers of Saratoga, and Nancy O'Keefe and husband Michael Sr of Alvin, TX; daughter-in-law, Margaret Crow of Austin; grandchildren, Nathan Crow and wife Denise of Pflugerville, TX, Shannon Svatek and husband Michael of Liberty Hill, TX, Jason Crow and wife Anna of Batson, Blake Sellers and wife Brandy of Honey Island, Michelle Holden and husband Jason of Many, LA, Chris Sellers of Saratoga, Michael O'Keefe Jr. and wife Cyndi of Imperial Beach, CA, and Miles O'Keefe of League City; great-grandchildren, Allison, Duncan, Carolyn, Vivian, Brennan, Baylin, Brantley, Jason, Chloe, Dalton, Sierra, Daniel, Natalie, and a host of loving friends.
A service of remembrance will be Saturday, December 29, 2018, at 2:00 p.m. at Batson Prairie Baptist Church with Reverend Lee Gruver officiating, interment will follow at Old Hardin Cemetery in Kountze. A gathering of Mrs. Crow's family and friends will also be held on Saturday, December 29, 2018, from 11:00 a.m. until 2:00 p.m. at Batson Prairie Baptist Church.
Honoring Mrs. Crow as pallbearers are Nathan Crow, Jason Crow, Wally Cater, Christopher Sellers, Michael O'Keefe Sr, Miles O'Keefe, and Michael Svatek. Honorary pallbearers will be Blake Sellers, Michael O'Keefe Jr, Jason Holden.
