Christopher Lynn Pilgreen, 37, born on March 9, 1987, in the heart of Baytown, left this world on December 13, 2024, in Liberty, Texas, enveloped in the warmth of his loving family. His spirit, unmistakably vibrant and full of joy, will remain etched in the hearts of all who had the privilege to know him.
A devoted roustabout in the oilfield, Christopher embodied the spirit of hard work, always showing up with a smile and a determination that inspired those around him. Known as a loving son, brother, uncle, and friend, he nurtured his relationships with the kind of loyalty and devotion that only a genuinely great man could muster. He was endowed with a huge heart, always ready to lend a hand or share a laugh, often transforming the ordinary into extraordinary moments with his naturally silly persona and infectious sense of humor.
Christopher was a consummate family person. Whether fishing on a calming lake or sharing a delicious meal with family and friends, his love for food was as huge as his love for those around him—he cherished every moment spent in the company of those he adored. His carefree nature and ambitious drive allowed him to live life fully, creating a legacy of positivity, love, and laughter that will linger long after his departure.
He is survived by his devoted parents, Travis Leeroy Pilgreen and his wife Ashley, and Annette Fuentes and her husband Troy Felts. Christopher's stepfather, Jose Antonio Fuentes, also held a special place in his heart. His siblings include his sisters Abbiella Fuentes and Skylar Nugent, his brother, Tyler Nugent alongside his cherished nieces Cheleby Pilgreen and Sofia Godinez, his nephew Ayvin Godinez, and his great nephews, Rhyder Weido and Rhenlyn Weido. A beloved girlfriend, Retia Cougot, stood by his side, adding to the mosaic of love that surrounded him at all times, as well as his step children, Raymond and Bryce Aguirre. Christopher will be missed tremendously by numerous aunts, uncles, and cousins who were graced with the joy of his presence.
Christopher is preceded in death by his brother, Travis Lee Pilgreen, and his beloved grandparents, Jack Sheckler and Lillie Faye Messer. Their love nurtured him and their absence aches deeply. Yet, in their memory, he taught all of us to love dearly and laugh often—an enduring testament to a life beautifully lived, filled with compassion, humor, and a strength unmatched.
