Bruce Glen Finley, 65, of Liberty, Texas passed away Friday, October 16, 2020, at Memorial Hermann Hospital in Houston, Texas, surrounded by his loving family. Mr. Finley was born on September 25, 1955, to the late Harrison Kirk Finley Jr. and Annie Ophelia Armstrong in Liberty, Texas. Mr. Finley was a retired District Sales Manager for KDR Supply Inc. He was loved and respected by his co-workers and those he supervised. He was the best faithful husband and greatest provider to his family. Papa loved to hunt and taught his grandkids that passion. His favorite time of year was opening deer season. Mr. Finley never met a stranger and always had a smile to light someone's day. He will be greatly missed by all who loved him, but his legacy will continue with the next generation.
Mr. Finley is preceded in death by his parents, and brother, James Kirk Finley
Those left to cherish his memory are his loving wife of 40 years, Rebecca Lee Finley of Liberty, stepmother, Patricia Finley of Hardin; daughters, Melissa Locke and husband Tony of Hardin, Sharon Lynn Black of Hardin, LeAnn Coker of Beaumont; sisters, Patti Finley of Hardin, Roseann Blanchard and husband Chris of Hardin; grandchildren, Jennifer Locke, Devin Black, Hannah Locke, Angel Black, Kaylee Black, Mckynlee Coker; great-grandchildren, Coltyn Smith, Kinsley Palmer, Korbin Palmer, and baby Smith on the way which Papa was able to hear its heartbeat; also survived by many loving relatives and a host of friends
A service of remembrance will be held Wednesday, October 21, 2020, at 2:00 pm at Faith and Family Funeral Services Inc. with Pastor Gideon Watson officiating. A gathering of family and friends will be on Tuesday, October 20, 2020, at Faith & Family Chapel from 5:00 pm until 8:00 pm.
Honoring Mr. Finley as pallbearers are Devin Black, Jeremy Paul, Robert Smith, Colton Palmer, Otis Smith, Charlie Locke, Scott Ainsworth, and Jason Ainsworth.
Honorary pallbearers are Chris Blanchard, Joe Harrison, Byron Rives, Larry Rives, Ernest Rives, and Jesse Wayne Taylor.
