Brenda Karen Young, 59, of Daisetta, passed away Monday, January 14, 2019, at Houston Methodist Baytown Hospital.
Mrs. Brenda was born September 2, 1959, in Liberty, TX to Clarence and Claudine Dees Fregia. She was a life long resident of Daisetta where, after retiring from the Postal Service after 20 years, she worked for B & J Vacuum Tank Services. Mrs. Brenda loved spending time with her family and spoiling her nieces, nephews, and neighborhood kids. She was a prankster, loved listening to her music, and loved her holidays.
She is preceded in death by her father; brother-in-law, Jack Hanks Jr; and great-nephew, Brent Fregia.
Those left to cherish her memory are; mother, Claudine Fregia of Hull; husband, Howard Young of Daisetta; daughters, Torri Smith of Daisetta, and Brandice Smith of Cleveland; brothers, Gary Fregia and Clifford Fregia both of Hull; sisters, Ruby Hanks and Pam Fregia both of Hull; nieces and nephews, Shelly and Wes Fregia Jr and daughter Acelyn of Liberty, Michael and Amanda Fregia and their children Bryce, Brayden, Lanie, and Cami of Hull, Destiny and Michael Jannise of Houston, Bessie Fregia, Ray Allen Fregia, Raye Ann and Deke Massey and children Mason, Parker, and Karson of Vidor.
A service of remembrance will be Saturday, January 19, 2019, at 2:00 p.m. at LifePoint UPC in Daisetta with Reverend Lonnie Jordan officiating, interment will follow at Guedry Cemetery. A gathering of Mrs. Brenda's family and friends will be Friday, January 18, 2019, from 5:00 p.m. until 9:00 p.m. also at LifePoint UPC.
Honoring Mrs. Brenda as pallbearers will be Kelly Hoover, Richard Taylor, Michael Fregia, Bryce Fregia, Michael Jannise, and J.T. Greek. Honorary pallbearer will be Kenny Caruthurs.
