Boyd Wayne Smira

Boyd Wayne Smira, 70, of Hardin, Texas passed away on Sunday, March 3, 2024, at his residence. He was born in Houston, Texas on January 18, 1954, to the late Cecil Smira and Margaret Atkins.
Boyd was an avid outdoorsman, that loved gardening, and tinkering with old tractors and refurbishing them. He was a dedicated and hard worker and worked most of his life in the oilfield. He was loved by all of his friends and customers from Rives Rifle Range. He never met a stranger, always had time for everyone and was willing to offer a helping hand.
He is preceded in death by parents, and sister, Colleen Rose.
Boyd is survived by his loving wife, Dixie Lee Smira of Hardin, Texas; son, James Kirk Finley, Jr. of Hardin, Texas; daughters, Kimberly Finley of Hardin, Texas, Tina Finley and John Bardwell of Hardin, Texas, Melissa Locke and husband Tony of Hardin, Texas and LeAnn Jensen and husband Jeremy of Port Neches, Texas; brother, Jimmy Smira and wife Janet of Florida; sister, Geraldine Luckey of Hardin, Texas; grandchildren, Cayden Finley, Alexis Dickson, Blake Finley, Hayley Minjarez, Grayson Molina, Gabriel Molina, Jennifer Palmer, McKynlee Coker and Hannah Locke; and great-grandchildren, Kinsley Palmer, Korbin Palmer, Hayes Smith, Laramie Smith, Coltyn Smith, Leeson Zbranek and Delilah Garcia.
A Memorial will be held by the family at a later time. Cremation is under the direction of Faith and Family Funeral Services in Batson, Texas.
