80 of Liberty, Texas died Wednesday December 30, 2015 at his residence. He was born July 23, 1935 in an old log cabin in the piney woods with no electricity in the Pine Ridge community. A age two he was he was putting Tinker Toys together and at three starting building things with an Erector set by looking at the pictures. In 1943 he was exposed to radio enough to make a lasting impression. He started repairing radios for people to earn extra money.

While growing up he tinkered with everything he could get his hands on. He started fixing anything from model airplane motors, motor bikes and finally automobiles. He had become an experienced mechanic and became married at 19 and soon afterward began a job with a crop dusting outfit.

After a few years he became shop foreman, responsible for keeping 14 Stearmans in the air.
Soon he became a certified aircraft mechanic. It was during this time he wanted to become a pilot and at age 26 he had a commercial license and began flying for a living.

With time on his hands during off season he restored for himself a 1956 T'BIRD. His next project was an electric organ from the 30's that was at one time used in a church. During this time his musical interests lead to building guitar amplifiers, stereo amplifiers and other related tube electronics. He helped out local TV shop during the winter and stayed with it until color TV began to take over. A remarkable and very talented man who could just about fix anything he set his mind and hands to do. He also qualified to be accepted in Mensa International IQ Society but never pursued it.

A native of Pine Ridge, he moved to Liberty, in 1969 where he lived most of his life. He was owner and operator of Liberty Air Service, and was an Agricultural Pilot. He is survived by his wife Peggy Richardson of Liberty; sons, Dennis Cude and wife Traci of League City; Michael Cude of Liberty; Tommy Cude and wife Kat of Pasadena; and Evan Richardson and wife Jan of Brookeland.

Daughters, Jill Perez and husband Ray of Plano, TX; June Ryherd and husband Tim of Loveland, CO; Dana Toutloff of Brookeland; and Kristen Logsdon and husband George of Dripping Springs, TX. Brother, Orville Ray Richardson and wife Jan of Pine Ridge, and sister Dorothy Keeling and husband Roy of Tooele, Utah. Grandchildren; 20 and great Grandchildren; 8.

A service of remembrance will be held on Saturday January 16, 2016 at 2:00 P.M. at Pine Ridge Baptist Church of Sour Lake.
