Anita Jeanette Hatcher, 85, of Dayton, passed away Wednesday, October 16, 2019, at her residence surrounded by her loving family. Grannie was born on January 5, 1934, in Old River Winfree, Tx to Ellis Willard Reeves and Willie Mae Dugat. She was a long- time member of Dayton FirstAssembly of God church. Grannie's passion was to love her family unconditionally. She loved cooking for her family and friends. Her yearly camping trips with her grandchildren will be memories that will be cherished. In her private moments, she enjoyed reading and gardening. Grannie will be truly missed by all who loved her. Her legacy will continue on with her grandchildren and great- grandchildren.
Grannie is preceded in death by her parents; husband, Weldon B. Hatcher; daughter, Terrie L. Gutierrez; sister, Joann Thorton; grandson, Christopher J. Fregia and great- grandson, Austin T. Gilley.
Those left to cherish her memory are her sons, William D. Gilley and wife Cora Ann of Liberty, Bobby Wayne Hancock of Dayton; daughter, Belinda Glover of Dayton; brothers, Jerrel D. Reeves and wife Martha of Dayton, Don W. Reeves and wife Jenny of Dayton; sisters, Janice Barton of Old River Winfree, Willa Dean Parker of Georgia, Jacquline Reeves of Dayton, Theresa Davis of Jasper; grandchildren, Johnny R. Vestal Jr, Amy J. Lusk, Joanna Gilley, William (Bud) Gilley, Lawrence (Bull) Gilley, Whitney Gutierrez, several great- grandchildren, two great great grandchildren, many nieces, nephews, family and a host of friends.
A graveside service of remembrance will be held Friday, October 18, 2019, 11:00 a.m. at Reeves Cemetery, Old River Winfree, Tx.with Reverend Richard Cope officiating.
Honoring Grannie as pallbearers are Woody Lusk, Jeremy Bushnell, Johnny Vestal Jr, Johnny Vestal III, Justin Vestal, and Charlie Reeves. Honorary pallbearer, Bobby Hancock.
